805 Street Outreach sees everyone through a lens of empathy and understanding. So many of our unhoused population have lost their faith in the people offering them help, due to no follow-through. Our objective in building rapport with this community is simple -treat everyone as an equal. Give them back their dignity, be it with food, clothing, or a hot shower. We are all human and deserve to be treated so.
We engage with the under-served community to build trust. Offering them transportation to appointments, referrals to any other agencies needed, clothing, food, with a listening ear and helping hand.
Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday, we provide services to the unhoused community living in the Santa Maria riverbed. We have partnered up with hospital personnel of Dignity Health to work side by side and bring medical help to those in need.
We provide showers to the unhoused community at the Morro Bay Public Library every first and third Mondays from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., after a generous shower trailer donation from Hope's Village SLO.
Public speaking, appearances at community events, and fundraising partnerships. We are a certified, county-wide Narcan provider and offer Narcan training to individuals or other businesses that request it.
